IDr Mak Mil Yung, a distinguished RMIT University architectural  graduate, boasts over two decades of rich architectural and interior experience across Melbourne and Malaysia, including prestigious stints with Edward Suzuki Architects Tokyo, SCDA Singapore, and Hijjas Kasturi Associates Malaysia. She co-founded MIL Design & Construction leading the firm to win international acclaim and delivering high-profile projects for discerning clients such as Hollywood celebrity Henry Goulding, the family home of Tan Sri Zeti Aziz, along with notable luxurious residences, institutional spaces, show units, high-end boutique hotels and transformative commercial projects like Highpark Suites, the Gamuda Training Centre and Enabling Academy and 2 boutique hotels in Maldives and Cambodia

 
Mil’s design philosophy is rooted in creating spaces that resonate as choreographed moments, harmonizing rhythm and senses to evoke deep emotional connections. She is renowned for her ability to craft unique, environmentally conscious spaces that encourage meaningful human interaction in an increasingly digital world. She excels in understanding the distinctiveness of each client and brand she works with, crafting stories through spaces, and ensuring the exquisite detail and USP of every project with her keen eye in detailing
 
As an advocate in heritage buildings and arts she advocates for the merging of heritage and modern elements to revive the story of the building. 
Mil also mentors at RMIT University. Additionally, she lends her expertise as a volunteer to The Other School, a refugee children’s school. Mil firmly believes that design has the transformative power to enrich lives and foster a holistic, sustainable lifestyle.

Edward, co-founder and project director for building arm Mil Design & Construction, graduated with a degree in commerce from Murdoch University in Perth, Australia. Since 2003, Edward has been an integral part of the construction and project management industry, amassing a wealth of experience that he now channels into his role at Mil Design & Construction. Edward's deep understanding of project management ensures seamless oversight of all aspects of site and project execution for the company's diverse clientele. His expertise encompasses the meticulous transformation of concepts from paper to reality, ensuring every project aligns with the envisioned designs.
Edward brings a unique blend of skills to the table, honed through his early training in design and build from event and exhibition construction to organizing national-scale exhibitions and fairs. This diverse background enables Edward to offer innovative solutions and a comprehensive approach to project management, optimizing quality, timeliness, and cost-effectiveness.
His approach is a blend of traditional craftsmanship and modern technology, frequently leveraging local materials to create sustainable solutions. Edward's commitment to excellence means he is constantly exploring alternative methods and specifications to achieve time and cost savings without compromising quality. Additionally, as a member of the CIDB (Construction Industry Development Board), Edward stays abreast of industry standards and best practices, further enhancing his ability to deliver exceptional results.
